ring in the new

Last year ended with a bang! AF closed out the year with 2.2 million views online, 20,000 FaceBook fans and there’s always something happening in the Mogan Lounge. Starting a new year is always inspirational for making changes. This year, we’re clearing out the nest and moving the news room. Don’t worry; this quilled pen will still deliver the weekly news. We want to thank the tens of thousands who have subscribed to the Mogan Mail Newsletter. For the past eight years we have been keeping the fans up to date with insider news, zany stories and readers’ photos. In the coming weeks, the Mogan Mail Newsletter will no longer be emailed in its current format. Everyone gets enough spam clogging up their inbox these days, so AF will be converting Mogan Mail into the Mogan Blog. If you are currently subscribed to Mogan Mail, keep an eye out for our Mogan Blog activation confirmation email from Feedburner Email Subscriptions. This email will allow you to easily transition your subscription to the new Mogan Blog. These emails will be sent out sometime between now and the end of January but if you don’t want to wait or if you want to sign up for the first time, go to AddictiveFishing.com and enter your email address in the box at the top of any page to subscribe to the “AF Newsletter.” While you’re on the AF site, make sure you sign up for the Humminbird/Minn Kota Giveaway – click on the “Monthly Giveaway picture” under the giveaways heading on the right side of the home page. You could win a NEW Minn Kota Talon just like Keith Cleary in Connecticut. Keith filled out his entry online and we pulled his name out of the fishbowl to be our winner for the December drawing. Scott Crown gives new meaning to the phrase “take a kid fishing.” Scott took the kids fishing while they were out of school for the holidays and these Mini Mogans caught some real Mogans! They caught redfish, black drum, trout and sheepshead during the winter vacation. Not a bad way to close out last year and an awesome start to the new one. Scott, thanks for sharing the photos with us. You’re the first Mogan of the Week for 2012! Still hearing bells, BillBird
